Awesome movie about how a man finds his faith through trials with a high school football team (he’s the coach) and dealing with infertility with his wife. Its a little protestant but very God focused and fine for kids of all ages. We got it through Netflix.
I saw this movie after renting it from Hollywood Video. There is not much out there you can watch with kids under 12. What really moved me was this was a movie in which you saw how people prayed. It wasn’t just silent words like us Catholics use. It was spontaneous honest heart-felt prayer, talking to God. This is a football movie, and the team struggles with many losses. The coach turns the focus from winning to giving Glory to God. I try to do that with my kids after they lose a soccer game. Not about winning. There is also a sub-theme of the struggle of infertility, and the joys and sadness that goes with that.
Moral of the story: Trust God, then all else will work out.
